Hazel joined the University in March 2022 and is currently working full-time as Co-ordinator of the Suffolk Doctoral College.  She is responsible for processing PhD enquiries, organising inductions and social events for PGR students, co-ordinating queries, maintaining student records and supporting the Doctoral College. 

Hazel was brought up in Suffolk and after a varied career from Air Hostess, Au pair in France, PA roles in London, Administration Manager at Clarins UK, she then settled back in Suffolk to raise her family and 7 years ago started working for our local paper East Anglian Daily Times/Ipswich Star.  Hazel worked within the promotions team engaging with the readers on school campaigns, supplements and reader offers/promotions. 

Outside of work, Hazel has organised several charity events raising money for Breast Cancer and Alzheimer’s society, two charities close to her heart.
