Working closely with the School of Health and Sports Science, and the Integrated Care Academy, Hannah will be building on our existing strong partnerships to develop a portfolio of training and research to respond to key health and wellbeing challenges.
Hannah is a passionate registered nutritionist with over 13 years’ experience in retail, manufacturing and not for profit organisations, looking at ways to make healthier and more sustainable eating easier for everyone. She holds a BSc in Nutrition from the University of Surrey and has previously worked for Sainsbury’s and Nestlé in both nutrition and technical roles.
Most recently, Hannah was Head of Nutrition and Scientific Affairs at IGD, where she worked collaboratively with industry and researchers to identify initiatives to drive healthier and more sustainable diets in the UK. She led IGD's health team, working with a wide range of stakeholders including food and drink companies, government, NGOs, and academia, to deliver social impact.
Previous outputs have been wide ranging, including large scale healthy eating in the workplace research, partnering with the Behaviour and Health Research Unit of the University of Cambridge. Hannah also led a partnership with University of Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA), to deliver in-store trials to identify behaviour change levers to encourage sustainable diets.
