Georgia joined the University of Suffolk as a student in 2015 and completed her degree in BSc Hons Psychology and Early childhood studies in 2018. In March 2018 she was elected as President of the Students’ Union. After moving from Chelmsford to study at the University she now feels pleased to call Ipswich her home.
Georgia had a very positive university experience and thoroughly enjoyed her studies, particularly after getting involved with the women’s netball team. The main initiatives she hopes to achieve as President are to:
- Increase accessible learning for all students with the implementation of lecture capture
- Introduce quality social events throughout the year with consideration of the University's demographic. This includes getting students involved with charitable events to help build on personal experience and learn invaluable skills for CV’s
- Communicate with more students by creating a Students’ union Snapchat
Georgia is passionate about student representation and will be using this year as an exciting opportunity to represent the student voice. As President, Georgia will be standing as a student advocate on a range of boards and committees, including University senate. She also takes great pride in her role as a Director of the Students’ Union Trustee board.
