Early Childhood Studies student
I’m studying Early Childhood Studies and automatically you think of primary teaching, but I don’t want to be a teacher. I want to travel and set up schools to help people who are less fortunate than us.
Sometimes I look at my life and I think yeah, I’ve had it all. I’ve always worked for what I’ve earned though; I started working at 15. I don’t rely on my mum to give me money whenever I need it.
I want to travel and see the world and experience a different culture. We’re so lucky; we have the internet, clean water – things that we take for granted. People who are less fortunate haven’t had that, they need people to go and help them get that start in life.
I’ve watched Children in Need since I was young and I’ve always thought I want to do that. To be the person who helps. I want to say I’ve done something to change the world and actually affect someone’s life. That’s my ultimate goal! I don’t know if I’ll achieve it, but I want to try.
