Gemma joined the Student Recruitment Team in October 2021 and manages our relationships with schools and colleges across Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. Her work involves developing relationships with schools and sixth forms in these counties, delivering information and interactive workshops based on Higher Education topics. The workshops aim to encourage and support students with the transition from Further Education into Higher Education, as well highlight to students what the University of Suffolk has to offer.
Gemma graduated from the University of Suffolk in 2012 with a BA (Hons) in English and during her time as a student worked as a Student Ambassador. She graduated with a PGCE specialising in Primary Education from Anglia Ruskin University in 2013, then with a MA in Teaching and Learning from the University of Suffolk in 2017.
Gemma taught in various primary schools across Suffolk before joining the University as a Student Recruitment Officer. She is excited to be working as part of the Student Recruitment Team, working with young people to encourage and give them the confidence to access Higher Education.
