Emma has experience working in the education sector stretching from primary school through to degree level. Originally a biological scientist, Emma spent a year working in a laboratory before transferring her skills to primary teaching, gaining qualified teacher status in 2015. After which, she went on to work with apprenticeship and degree student veterinary nurses, where she worked closely with academic departments and practices to support, monitor and advance student progress.
Emma is passionate about students’ development and wellbeing. She enjoys motivating students to complete all industry and academic requirements to succeed in their course and is mental health first aid trained. Recently, Emma has been furthering her professional development by undertaking a careers information, advice and guidance qualification. Emma is joining the Apprenticeship Hub Team remotely and is the newest member of the Skills Coach team.
