I am an innovative educationalist with a flair for business ideas that can be translated into educational research. I have extensive knowledge in the school, Further Education and Higher Education sectors as a researcher and lecturer. The topics that I teach include research methodology, gender theory, leadership and professionalism.
My research interests and expertise are in gender, identity, race and class. My current research focuses on the notion of identity and leadership. I am extremely passionate about research that has a focus on Black education especially as we move towards an era that is finding the use of the word Black not in fashion .
In addition, I am an active member of the community that shares experiences with both individuals and other organisations. Recent publications include: Why British Black Women have Difficulty Finding Employment (2012).
