I chose to study here as it has a great reputation for training nurses, and it is something I have always wanted to study. The services the University offer, such as 24/7 access to the Waterfront Building was very helpful to me, particularly leading up to exams.
The practical experience you get as part of the course is priceless, as this gives you the chance to put what you have learnt in the classroom into practice. During placement, you get the chance to work on a variety of specialist wards, which included the area I wanted to work in. The diverse mix of students also meant that everyone had their own experiences they could share and we could all learn from each other.
Since completing my degree I am working as a registered nurse in the Haematology and Oncology ward at Ipswich Hospital. I enjoy helping people and my aim is to improve the experience of every one of my patient.
