Christopher Bushby has worked for the Suffolk Agricultural Association, an agricultural charity, for nearly 28 years, becoming Executive Director in 1994. Together with it’s trustees, he is responsible for leading, developing and delivering the strategic vision of the Association whose remit is to promote agriculture and food production in the county, especially through education. Within the SAA’s activities portfolio is the Suffolk Show.
Current positions held include: Presiding Fellow of Suffolk New College, Governor of Suffolk New Academy, Vice President of Suffolk Chamber, Treasurer of the Suffolk Horse Society, and Board member of Suffolk Supporting Britain’s Reservists and Employers.
Christopher graduated from Norfolk and Lincolnshire Colleges of Agriculture and served in the Coldstream Guards. Christopher has three daughters, has a passion for sport and has achieved grade 4th Dan Black Belt in Judo.
Christopher has a passion for education and in particular, ensuring that all have access to a first class education.
