Anthony is a Lecturer in Law who practised as a solicitor for 30 years and is an accredited mediator.   He completed his training in mega City firm Coward Chance (now Clifford Chance).  He then worked successively in the criminal, private family law and child care fields before settling in Suffolk with a long career as a dispute resolution lawyer, acting in a very wide range of cases: from a judicial review of a hospital closure to claims of abuse in a children’s home.  He ran a law firm for 10 years as Managing Partner before joining University of Suffolk in January 2019.

Anthony has appeared in local and national media in connection with his cases and also as a legal commentator. He has been ‘legal eagle’ on ICR for 10 years as well as a regular legal blogger and film maker.

He is currently co-authoring a book about management with reference to his management of a law firm.

Teaching responsibilities

Anthony is the module leader for Dispute Resolution and Legal Ethics. He also teaches on Contract Law and has taught on Public Law and Criminal Law modules. He is part of the course team for Clinical Legal Practice placement module.
