Since qualifying as an RMN with a Vice Chancellors Award in 2011, Adrian has mainly worked in specialist recovery and rehabilitation inpatient services and worked in both community teams and Health Education England as a clinical learning environment coordinator. He was involved in the redesign of local services towards a recovery-focused approach and has contributed to the implementation of recovery tools. In 2012 Adrian trained under Dr. Marius Romme, Sandra Escher and Ron Coleman which had a significant impact on him and widened his fields of specialism to include the role of trauma in the voice-hearers experience and solution-focused approaches. Adrian was involved in designing teaching modules for Recovery Colleges and training NHS staff in recovery approaches. He also has worked with NHS 111 as a crisis response mental health nurse.

Adrian was heavily involved in the implementation of therapeutic recovery tools into specialist mental health services and has provided guest lectures and appeared at recovery conferences in North Essex.
