I came to the University of Suffolk after being inspired to work in the technology sector. Since joining I have been given more opportunities than I could ever imagine. The first and one of the most significant assets of going to the University of Suffolk is access to the DigiTech Centre. DigiTech has everything (and more) I need to complete my course and personal projects to the best of my ability. It's an excellent facility and one of the country's most impressive technology learning environments.

Another opportunity I've been given is making connections at the Suffolk Tech Industry Day. This annual event has given me great insight into the jobs available in the sector and how aspects of my course align with specific roles. Because of this event, I managed to get a job as an Intern Web Developer. This role will be permanent throughout my studies which is excellent as it means I can apply what I learn at university to my role in the sector.

The support of staff and the portfolio of work I created during the course has helped me get this job, which I am incredibly grateful for, as this has given me a step into the industry I have always wanted. During my time at the University of Suffolk, I wanted to start my own web development business, which The Entrepreneurs Forge Micro Course has given me the chance to do! I never thought I'd have the chance to network with other business-minded people and receive a grant to start my own business.

I am hoping to grow my own business and become a successful business owner in the near future.
