University of Suffolk and design agency Only recognised with major industry award

The University of Suffolk and the design agency behind the transformation of the visual identity from University Campus Suffolk have been recognised at an awards ceremony.

Only and the University were awarded silver in the Best Visual Identity in the education sector category at the Transform Awards Europe.

The awards, which have been running for eight years, honour brand development and rebranding projects and recognise excellence in branding across Europe.

Only, who are based in Manchester, are a strategy and design consultancy. They worked with the University on the visual identity which encompassed how the brand proposition and personality was translated through tangible items such as signage, publications and the new distinct University logo.

Daniel Tweddle, from Only, said “It has been a great pleasure supporting the University of Suffolk through the rebrand process. From the outset of the project we have worked closely with stakeholders from throughout the University and have been delighted with the impact and the reception that the new brand has had. To have this work recognised by such prestigious European awards is truly fantastic.”

The new University logo is bold and distinct. It has been well received by students, staff and public alike and reflects well our core brand proposition of ‘change’.”
