The University’s Alumni Association is pleased to announce the launch of a partnership with Alumni Union, a free, membership only club providing access to a variety of discounts and benefits for University of Suffolk alumni and their family and friends.
With a growing graduate community of over 17,000 the University are constantly working to expand the range of benefits and services on offer, and are delighted to be one of the first Universities in the UK to launch this partnership. Joining Alumni Union gives access to a variety of discounted services, including insurance, worldwide access to Priority Pass airport lounges, financial services products and more.
Graduate Amy Carpenter who now works as the Corporate Affairs Assistant Manager at the University said “We want to offer a package of benefits and services to our graduate community that are useful and meaningful, and offer support, discounts and access to facilities that are of real interest, wherever their lives and careers have taken them next. Following the launch of Alumni Union itself just 18 months ago, we are extremely pleased to have formed this partnership which has enabled us to add a wealth of new benefits and services to our existing benefits package. Being a part of Alumni Union’s journey at such an early stage means we are able to have an input into the discounts they add to their growing portfolio, and look forward to being able to share the growing range of benefits in the coming months.”
Amy added “In addition to partnerships such as this, we also offer a variety of other benefits to our graduates, including a loyalty reduction on postgraduate study*, discounted membership to our fantastic Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Centre (IWIC), and access to the library*. We continue to work on expanding our benefits package, and will shortly be sending a survey out to all alumni so we can understand what else our graduates would like to see on offer. We are looking forward to receiving feedback and further ideas and suggestions to help inform our future plans, and to make sure we are offering the right benefits at the right time.“
Founder and CEO, Steven Leof, said “Alumni Union are the only business in the UK to offer this partnership, founded after discovering that a suite of alumni discounts and benefits, like those we now offer, so readily available in the USA did not currently exist in the UK. We’re delighted that the University of Suffolk is joining us on this pioneering journey that will continue to see us partner with alumni at the universities from which they graduated throughout the country. As a benefits aggregator, the larger we grow, the better the deals, the more everyone benefits.”
