Student trip to Bucharest

10 May 2017 10:30AM

Students from the BA (Hons) Special Educational Needs and Disability Studies have recently returned from a study trip to Bucharest in Romania.

Course Leader Dr Allison Boggis and lecturer Dr Cristian Dogaru accompanied the students on the trip, which was part of the Erasmus Teaching Exchange and included a visit to the University of Bucharest for a campus tour. Students attended a lecture with fellow undergraduates from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Science.

The visit coincided with World Autism Day so the students visited Invingem Autismue, an organisation that supports young people with Autism.

Second year student Karen Double said visiting Bucharest was a “fabulous experience. It was great to visit such a beautiful city. I really enjoyed the trip to the University. It was lovely speaking to some students and gain an insight into Uni life in Bucharest.”

Dr Cristian Dogaru is keen to build relationships with the University of Bucharest and is actively encouraging students from his home country to take part in Erasmus exchange programmes at the University of Suffolk.
