22 Nov 2021 3:30PM

The University has established a new partnership which will make it easier for those studying Access to Higher Education (HE) Diplomas to progress to university.

The agreement with Gateway Qualifications covers their approved centres delivering the Gateway Qualifications Access to Higher Education Diplomas across the country.

Those studying the Access to HE Diploma will benefit from lower entry requirements and a guaranteed interview for courses that require one.

Karen Hinton, Head of Student Recruitment, said “The University of Suffolk has partnership agreements with a range of providers to aid progression to higher education. We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Gateway Qualifications. Students will be made slightly lower offers to study at Suffolk, but crucially will also be supported in preparing for university through our programme of information, advice and guidance sessions, and academic engagement.”

Carol Snape CEO of Gateway Qualifications said “We are delighted to be partnering with the University of Suffolk to expand the opportunities and support for our Access to HE Centres and their learners. Our Access to HE Diplomas are designed to prepare learners for university and this partnership offers a fantastic range of additional activities and events for students and staff at our approved centres to enhance that preparation and enable learners to realise their potential and continue on the lifelong learning journey.”
