17 Feb 2017 11:45AM

Major young writer Hollie McNish will be coming to the University of Suffolk.

Hollie will be leading a workshop for English students on Wednesday 22 February organised by Course leader Gill Lowe in partnership with Suffolk Book League.

She is known for her ‘Page to Performance’ workshops combining the spoken word and poetry and has worked on a range of projects for organisations such as Cambridge University, South Cambridgeshire Council, the British Council in Latvia and Poland, Cambridge Museum of Zoology, Kettle’s Yard and schools all across the UK, as well as mainland France and Guadeloupe.

Gill Lowe, Course Leader for English said 'This will be a very special visit. Hollie McNish will be leading a poetry workshop for an enthusiastic group of our students. They are really excited to have the opportunity of working with one of the most important young performance artists currently working in the UK. In the evening of the 22 February Hollie will be reading and talking at an event hosted by the Suffolk Book League at the Ipswich Institute called ‘Nobody told me’, poetry and parenthood. This event is free for students but email booking is advisable as she is proving to be so popular."
