The University of Suffolk welcomes the recent government announcement and we recognise what a stressful time this has been for students, their parents/carers and advisors.
The University is being as flexible as possible with our approach to examination results. We have assessed applicants on an individual basis, taking into account individual circumstances, to ensure that students are not disadvantaged by the awarding of A Level and GCSE grades this summer.
In response to the announcement from the UK Government with regards to centre assessed grades (17 August 2020), we can confirm that if applicants were made and accepted an offer at the University of Suffolk in this year’s UCAS application cycle that was conditional upon A Level grades, and their centre assessed grades now meet the conditions of their firmly accepted offer, we will accept them on to their original course.
For Clearing students, we can only assess suitability for a course based on the grades that students have received and places that are available at the time they make their Clearing call. But we advise all students to call us to discuss the options available to them.
Applicants can contact our call centre on 01473 338352, between 8.30am - 7pm until Thursday 20 August, and 8.30am - 6pm on Friday 21 August. From Monday 24 August the call centre will be open 9-5pm Monday-Friday.
