Brothers graduate from Radiography

21 Oct 2021 8:45PM

Two brothers have graduated from the University of Suffolk’s BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography.

Reza and Ali Ghayour, originally from Iran, are now working for the NHS as radiographers.

Ali said “Being a student at the University of Suffolk helped me to enhance my knowledge and skills in radiography. The course taught me how to be organised and to manage my workload. The academic side of radiography is as important as the practical side as it helps you to build the skill and knowledge of radiography in you.”

Zoe Grant, from the School of Health and Sports Sciences said “As a course team we are fully aware of the challenges faced by our students, juggling clinical placements with academic work, home life and often part time employment.  The past 18 months saw our graduates face further challenges, studying and continuing with their placements throughout a global pandemic.  Their perseverance paid off, with all securing employment by the time they completed their studies. This is testament to the immense hard work they invested into becoming the next generation of therapeutic radiographers.  We are incredibly proud of this achievement and wish them every success in their new careers.”
