Brand New You

8 Feb 2017 12:15PM

The University of Suffolk will welcome celebrity brand strategist and social media guru Phil Pallen next month for Brand New You.

The day, which is part of the University’s Year of Celebration, will focus on establishing personal brand to achieve your goals.

Originally from Canada, Phil now lives in America and travels regularly sharing his expertise. This is his first visit to Suffolk and the University is pleased to welcome him.

Director of External Relations, Polly Bridgman, said “We’re all really looking forward to Phil’s visit. He is keen to share his knowledge and experience with students and the local business community. It really is quite a coup to have him here in the region and we urge start-ups and entrepreneurs to take up the opportunity to benefit from Brand New You.”

Phil Pallen has worked with over 200 clients from those who have appeared on Shark Tank (the US version of Dragon’s Den) to country leaders and celebrities on Dancing with the Stars (the US version of Strictly Come Dancing).

He regularly shares his knowledge at events and conferences across the world including iMedia Brand Summit Japan.

Phil said of his visit "I am very excited to visit Suffolk for the first time. Having spoken twice as a keynote at New Media Europe, I love the warm response I get from audiences in the UK, who find my energy and action-oriented content refreshing. Brand New You will explain exactly how you need to position, build and promote your brand so it stands out and people take notice.”

“I approach my talks from the standpoint of sharing knowledge I wish I knew when I graduated. I believe students are in a powerful position than anyone else when it comes to pursuing a career based on something they love."

Alex Till, Chief Executive of Menta, who are sponsoring Brand New You said “I’m looking forward to hearing Phil Pallen and his thoughts and ideas regarding branding.  As the business support agency for Suffolk, Menta are pleased that our sponsorship enables students to attend at a subsidised rate.”

Tickets are available for the general public and for University of Suffolk students by visiting
