Life Science Technician: £24,948 to £27,929 per annum

Senior Life Science Technician: £32,348 to £36,386 per annum

The Life Science team are currently looking to recruit a Technician on a full time, permanent basis.  

About the role

The post holder will support the running of our life science laboratories and provide technical support to both staff and students.  They will assist in the organisation, preparation and delivery of practical session and will be responsible for ensuring the departments health and safety compliance.

About the post holder

The post holder should hold a degree/HNC in a relevant life science subject and have experience working in research or teaching laboratories.  They will have experience in using a wide range of science equipment and good knowledge of the techniques commonly used within the life sciences. Applicants with experience with HPLC, Chromatography, Food Analysis, and GC are particularly welcomed.

They will have demonstrable organisation and communication skills and be able to work independently and effectively within a small team.

This position is offered as either a Technician or Senior Technician, dependent on the successful candidate’s previous experience. Please state in your application which level you are applying to based on the criteria outlined in the job description.
