We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative academic to join our growing Life Science team and contribute to the delivery of our recently launched BSc (Hons) Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation Science degree programme.
Applicants for the post should have a record of publishing in high impact peer-reviewed journals and have a strong scientific background in one or more of the following subjects: wildlife biology, zoology, ecology and/or conservation science.
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with experience in designing and developing innovative technology for wildlife conservation, or have expertise in invertebrate ecology or botany.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to research within the school and carry out undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including planning, organisation and delivery of programmes of study. They will also be expected to engage in public outreach and recruitment activities.
The successful candidate will have a PhD, and ideally have experience of teaching in Higher Education or a similar environment. A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. Candidates with postdoctoral research backgrounds who want to pursue an academic career are also encouraged to apply.
