The School of Art, Design and Humanities is seeking to employ a part time Lecturer to teach across its Fine Art and Graphic Design / Graphic Illustration undergraduate degree programmes.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of, and experience in, contemporary printmaking and applied image making in both a fine art and visual communication context. They will be required to work with the technical team to maintain the print studio within the Arts Building. Other teaching duties assigned to the role will include delivering explorative modules in image-making / visual language for the Graphic Design course and leading process and materials modules for Fine Art as well as leading and supporting the development of final year student portfolios.
Both courses work closely with their student cohort to nurture highly skilled and confident graduates. There is a strong emphasis on teaching that aims to develop both the student’s technical abilities and an underpinning intellectual understanding of their discipline.
