Law at the University of Suffolk is growing both in terms of portfolio and team members. We seek to appoint a well-qualified and student-centred lecturer or senior lecturer to contribute to the teaching and development of our law programmes. We invite applications from candidates to teach Land Law, Equity and Trusts and preferably offer one other area of law, as either an option or core subject, for our undergraduate law programme. The successful applicant will assume module leadership responsibilities on the undergraduate law programme. The post offers the opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team in the iconic Waterfront building overlooking the marina at Ipswich’s Neptune Quay.
Law is a fast-growing subject at the University of Suffolk and we are very ambitious and have big plans for the future. We currently offer LLB (Hons) Law, LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology, LLB (Hons) Law with Sociology, LLB (Hons) Law with Politics, LLB (Hons) Law with Business Management and BSc (Hons) Criminology and Law. This is an exciting time to be joining our institution as we lay the foundations for solid and cohesive legal education in the county of Suffolk.
The School offers a portfolio which includes law, criminology, politics, sociology and social work courses, driven by the interests and passions of an inter-disciplinary staff team. Our School is all about making a difference in the world. This is reflected in the range of subjects we teach, our interest in social justice, and our focus on how to make life better and fairer. You will join a school with around 60 staff and over 1000 students. Through teaching, research and collaborative enterprise, we focus on student-centred learning and progression, and meaningful engagement with wider professional and academic communities.
