Lecturer in Counselling, CBT (Ref:106)

Salary range: 
£35,845 to £41,526 per annum pro rata

School of Law and Social Sciences

Required part time, 0.4 fte

The University of Suffolk is seeking a committed, enthusiastic and skilled individual to contribute to our counselling programme. You will be an experienced and qualified counsellor and teacher, well versed in practice using Cognitive and Behavioural models.  You will be committed to delivering an excellent programme to students and to promoting the profession of counselling. 

The programme currently includes a new MSc in CBT & Counselling and a BA (Hons) Counselling. The post offers the opportunity to play a key role in developing the MSc programme.

Our school is all about change, having impact and making a difference.  This is reflected in the range of subjects we teach: psychology, law, social work, criminology, sociology, youth studies, policing and counselling.  Through teaching, research and collaborative enterprise, we focus on student-centred learning and progression, and meaningful engagement with wider professional and academic communities.

Teaching takes place on Thursdays, with meetings usually on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday teaching spread over ten weeks a year; please see the job description/s for information.
