Lecturer in Architecture (Ref 043)

Salary range: 
£35,845 to £41,526 pro rata

The interdisciplinary Architecture subject area at Suffolk is seeking an experienced educator and practitioner to lead the creative media strand in the BA (Hons) Architecture with expertise in using analogue and digital tools in experimental and critical spatial practice to include drawing, analogue 3D making, digital modelling, moving image, and prototyping.

The successful candidate will deliver the module Creative Media (year 1) and also contribute to Design Synthesis (all years). The successful candidate must be prepared to offer lab support and practical tuition as well as seminar-based teaching. We invite applications from experienced academics and practitioners with a track record of relevant expertise in the UK who are aware of ARB/RIBA standards and current University teaching methods and principles.

Architecture at Suffolk is part of the School of Engineering, Arts, Science and Technology (EAST). Our home School is one of the most diverse in the University with strong links to the Suffolk Sustainability Institute. Our programmes provide strong integration of Arts, Science, Engineering and Creative Technologies to address the demands of the ever-changing societal needs via scholarly-led teaching, business engagement and research. The BA (Hons) Architecture has a strong focus on ecology and the environment and is founded in partnership with RIBA Suffolk.
