We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative academic to join our growing Life Science team and contribute to the delivery of our recently launched BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree programme.
Applicants should have a record of work in the Biomedical Science industry and some experience of teaching and assessing.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in designing and developing innovative teaching, learning and assessment strategies that reflect the needs of graduate employers.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to research within the school and carry out undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including planning, organisation and delivery of programmes of study; this will include designing and marking assessments. They will also have the opportunity to engage in public outreach and recruitment activities.
The successful candidate will have a higher degree and be a member of the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS). They will also be Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered, and ideally have experience of teaching in Higher Education or a similar environment. A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. Candidates with industrial backgrounds who want to pursue an academic career are also encouraged to apply.
