Required part-time (22.2 hpw), fixed term for nine months to cover maternity leave.
The University of Suffolk is seeking an experienced and self-motivated fully professionally qualified accountant to provide management support in all aspects of financial accounting. The post holder will be located at the Ipswich Campus.
The role will report to the Head of Financial Operations and work areas include month-end bank and balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly VAT returns, monthly cash-flow monitoring, due diligence checks, preparation of annual financial statements and other statutory regulatory returns.
Applicants will need to possess knowledge of a financial accounting function and be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, and have strong organisational skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines. A good understanding of the higher education environment would be an advantage.
