Salary range: 
£28,762 to £31,411 per annum

The Careers, Employability and Enterprise (CEE) Team are currently seeking an Enterprise Officer to join on a full time, permanent basis.  

The CEE Team plays a central role in the student journey, working with students and graduates via embedded and extra-curricular activity, and are currently entering a period of expansion. This is an exciting time to play a key role in a newly relaunched service, with the opportunity to make demonstrable impact to a diverse range of students and graduates. 

The University has committed a large investment to the CEE function over the next 12 months. As a result, the team is growing substantially in size, and we are excited to be able to offer this brand new role to ensure that we can ensure support for our students and graduates is at the very highest standard.   

About the role 

The Enterprise Officer will support our Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Manager(s) to ensure high-quality support is available to students and graduates who are seeking to start their own businesses, pursue freelance opportunities, expand an existing entity, or are in the early stages of exploring their options. As part of the CEE Team, the Officer will work closely with colleagues providing careers and employability support to ensure that students can receive specialist support to reach their goals. 

The role will be instrumental in the development and implementation of a suite of initiatives and resources that support students and graduates in this area. Example activities may include Start-Up Bootcamps, Innovation Weekenders, Pitching Competitions, and much more. Working in close collaboration with the E&E Manager, the role holder will be expected to implement creative and innovative initiatives that inspire these skills in students and graduates, whilst also supporting the administration and promotion of the team. 

Whilst the role is agile, the post holder will be expected to attend the Ipswich campus regularly, particularly during term time to support the needs of our student and graduate population. Some travel will be required, particularly to support students at our Founding Partners (East Coast College, West Suffolk College, Suffolk New College).
