Salary range: 
£53,348 to £61,818 pa, (pro rata for part time)

Required on a full or part time basis, permanent

The University of Suffolk’s Business Engagement, Careers and Employability Directorate is seeking a new Director to make a significant contribution to the University fundraising strategy and to the planning and executing of the University’s first institution-wide fundraising campaign.

You will lead and develop the University’s approach to fundraising, delivering on income targets as agreed with the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Business and Entrepreneurship and the Executive of the University. You will have responsibility for a personal portfolio of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding philanthropic gifts from this group.

You will bring with you extensive philanthropic fundraising experience at a senior level with proven success in identifying, cultivating and personally soliciting major gifts at the 5 and 6 figure level, skills and experience in development and fundraising management, exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills and your ability to manage a small team. Experience in the higher education sector is desirable but not essential.

This is a permanent role and can be part or full time and will include some UK travel and evening or weekend work, when required.
