£32,348 - £36,386 per annum

The Planning and Management Information team are currently recruiting for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

About the team

The Planning and Management Information team sits within the University’s Finance and Planning Directorate. As a team, PMI plays a key part in the University’s planning cycle, is responsible for statutory funding returns, timetabling and leads the way with business intelligence solutions which comprise of solutions in SSRS, Qlik Sense as well as a variety of ad-hoc solutions.  

About the role

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be a part of and help shape the University’s business intelligence solutions. This role will have the opportunity to work with a variety of colleagues from across various areas of the institution and in time gain a diverse understanding of university data. This role will have a particular focus on writing and maintaining SQL scripts as well as maintaining our existing SSRS catalogue and help to migrate it to a future platform.

About the post holder

The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently to deadlines and work with a variety of departments to understand their data needs and translate their requirements to obtain the correct data outputs. The postholder will require excellent SQL skills, preferably T-SQL, in order to succeed at the role as well as an appetite to stay up to date with business intelligence method in order to help the university evolve its current solutions.
