Assistant Admissions Manager (Ref:248)

Salary range: 
£31,406 to £35,326 per annum

Full time, permanent

The Admissions Office works with colleagues across the directorate of External Relations to recruit and process applications for undergraduate and postgraduate study across the University of Suffolk.  

Reporting to the Admissions Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the University of Suffolk Admissions processes as they relate to International and Partnerships applications, including ensuring ongoing compliance with external regulations and bodies including UCAS and UKVI to ensure processes and policy reflect regulatory requirements and best practice. You will have direct oversight of the implementation of relevant processes to ensure compliance with relevant bodies, and a fair, consistent and transparent applicant experience.  

The post holder will work closely with Professional Service and Academic teams across the institution as well as colleagues from partner institutions to ensure a joined-up approach to admissions activity across the University of Suffolk.  

 You should have excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills as well as the ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure. An understanding of the Higher Education sector, the regulations surrounding international applications and an awareness of relevant external organisations (i.e. UCAS, UKVI etc) is essential. You should have a flexible approach to work, and a willingness to take on a variety of roles, as well as the ability to offer a positive and informative applicant experience.  

This is an exciting role working as part of a diverse and busy team in the Directorate of External Relations.
