Administrator, Research Project (Ref:284)

Required for 14.8 hours per week (0.4 fte)

This post will provide administrative support in all matters relating to the research project ‘Bluestone’. Project Bluestone is an ambitious programme of work focused on transforming the policing responses to rape and serious sexual offences (RASSO). A deep dive of practices in relation to RASSO in one police force (Avon & Somerset) was conducted in early 2021 and recommendations for improvements including a gold- standard RASSO investigation map were produced. The project received follow on funding as part of the promising practices identified in the End-to-End Rape Review 2021 which included supporting Avon and Somerset to test and improve the products, we produced for them and conducting deep dives in four additional forces to test the products, improve them and create a national standard for the investigation of RASSO.

You will responsible for setting up meetings, co-ordinating the research team’s diaries, taking minutes at meetings, scheduling interviews, supporting the research team with travel arrangements and submitting travel and subsistence expenses claims, assisting the team with the project timeline.

You will be supporting a large, diverse research team who will be collaborating with research teams from four other Universities. For more information about the role please read the Job Description attached below.
