In this business breakfast event, we'll look at how you can use Slack to improve team communication and increase productivity in your business.

He has over 15 years’ experience as a Web Developer creating software systems for the news, tourism, education, commerce and banking sectors. Before joining the university in 2018, Sean was a Web Developer for Newsquest, one of the largest regional media companies in the UK and a lecturer at the University of Worcester where he led the university’s Advanced Web Development offering.

Sean has a BSc in Computing and an MBA in Leadership and Management. He has won several awards for his lecturing and in 2017 was invited to teach web development at Zhejiang University in Jinhua, China.

In 2011, Sean founded an online multi-channel e-commerce business which was responsible for selling over 30,000 automotive parts and accessories. This business was later sold and is still in operation today. After the sale of his business in 2014, he began working as a Web Software Developer for Just2Easy Limited developing web-based systems to assist in the teaching of information technologies to primary school pupils. This software is now used by thousands of pupils every month worldwide and went on to win the 2015 BETT awards in London.

Sean’s previous technical, academic and business experience allows him to develop software solutions with organisational needs in mind. This has led to his increased engagement with the university’s Business Engagement team and Innovation Centre where he provides support to SMEs on topics such as digital marketing, web technologies and content accessibility.
