University of Suffolk Ipswich
In line with Research England recognising and supporting the important research work that taking place in many Universities especially those pursuing new directions and focusing on local challenges, the University of Suffolk will be hosting the Research and Public Engagement Conference on Friday 13 March 2020. We are especially interested in showcasing our recent, innovative research initiatives which reflect our areas of distinctiveness and especially those which work in partnership with policymakers, particularly to better understand local, regional or national challenges or which will lead to developments in evidence based policy.
Funded by Research England's Strategic Priorities Fund, this one day conference brings together academics, policy makers, commissioners, public sector organisations and the voluntary sector to:
- share existing innovative research projects undertaken at the University of Suffolk;
- encourage academics and wider stakeholders to think about new research opportunities;
- identify key Suffolk research challenges and consider how these may be overcome.
The conference themes are:
- Creative and Digital Technologies
- Crime and Social Justice
- Health and Wellbeing
- History and Heritage
- Pedagogy/Learning and Teaching
- Sustainability /Energy

Please state whether you wish your abstract to be considered for a verbal presentation or a poster.
Deadline: 10 January 2020
Presentations will be of 10 minutes.
We also welcome Poster submissions.
Posters will be displayed in the event foyer and there will be dedicated times for discussion and viewing.
All submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research depth, potential impact and relevance to conference theme and topics.
