Fran is lecturer in Marketing and Public Relations as well as course leader and has worked in Higher Education for the past 18 years. Fran has an extensive portfolio including running her own business and has worked on international publications in the fashion industry. Fran will be presenting on “Marketing Matters”.
Amy is one of our Alumni and also Employability Progression Adviser. Through her role and also her MSc studies, she is passionate about developing our students to ensure they are career ready for the graduate level roles in the world of work. She will be talking about our new online job shop platform called Future Me where businesses can advertise their paid vacancies for free.
The Business Breakfast Series provides an opportunity to hear some unique insights into leadership, management, innovation and enterprise from academic staff across a variety of disciplines. As well as giving you the opportunity to join our emergent enterprise network and engage with a higher education provider to really support the growth of your enterprise.
At each of our events there will be a presentation by a member of University of Suffolk academic staff, an opportunity for Q&A’s and business and HE enquiries, as well as informal networking.

Fran is Lecturer in Marketing and Public Relations. Working in Higher Education in London and Essex for the past 18 years, Fran believes in bringing both marketing theory and practice into her lectures and seminars.
Beginning her working life in fashion retail in London before moving into the world of fashion magazines, Fran worked on international publications such as Marie Claire, Elle and The Face. Whilst working fulltime Fran aquired the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma and an MA in Marketing from Kingston University.
Changing career to become a Lecturer in 2000, Fran gained a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education from the Institute of Education in London then in 2018 completed her PhD in Management Studies at the University of Essex.
Fran is an active member of the Academy of Marketing, contributing to special interest groups in not-for-profit marketing practice and marketing education. In addition to her academic commitments, Fran remains actively involved with the marketing teams of several not-for-profit organisations in East Anglia.
Amy graduated from the University of Suffolk in 2015, receiving an award for Best Dissertation, and joined the Careers and Employability Team in the same year as Employer Liaison Adviser. Amy is now Employability and Progression Adviser within the team after receiving two promotions during her time here (one of which saw her work on secondment with the Corporate Affairs Office to grow the Alumni Association and support the University's expanding philanthropic activity).
As Employability and Progression Adviser, Amy supports both students and graduates with developing their employability, and academic departments to develop and implement new initiatives within courses to embed employability at all levels. Amy is currently based at the Ipswich campus; however offers support across the full University of Suffolk Learning Network.
Amy has a background in retail management, internship and school leaver recruitment, employability initiatives, and supporting professional qualification study within corporate settings.
