Whether you are looking to begin or further your career, the University of Suffolk offers three specialised degree programmes specifically in these areas, which can be studied on a full or part-time basis to fit around your existing commitments.
BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies
This course offers an holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to the study of children and childhood. It includes a variety of perspectives including education, health psychology, sociology and social policy. BSc (Hons) Child Development and Developmental Therapies
This couse explores key issues in children’s development, developmental needs, and therapeutic working with children and their families. The course has excellent links with industry practitioners, with work experience built into the curriculum. For full course details visit uos.ac.uk/CDDT
BA (Hons) Early and Primary Education Studies
This course focusses on the study of children’s (0 to 11) education, stressing the role of education as a social venture that transforms individual and community living. The course encompasses two elements: a ‘practice strand’ of 300 hours of supervised practice and a ‘theories strand’ providing a deeper understanding of social psychological and sociological theories.
