Tuesday, 2 April 2019,
11:30 to 15:30

The most recent landmark report by the UN IPCC released on the 8th October 2018 makes for sobering reading; urging urgent and unprecedented changes to be implemented in order to reach the Paris Agreement pledge and keep temperature increases since the start of industrialisation to between 1.50C and 2.0C

The UK’s target of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 80% by 2050 poses an enormous challenge to its energy sector, which is required to decarbonise even further.

The UK Government, policy makers, businesses and the academic community are rising to this challenge. Join us on the 2nd April when expert speakers will explain the latest developments and present case study innovations that will help to shape the region’s future.

The programme for the day includes keynote speeches from:

  • Dr James Davey: BEIS Head of Performance and Delivery, Science & Innovation for Climate & Energy Directorate (SICE)

  • University of Suffolk

  • Haven Power and Drax Group

  • Greater South East Regional Energy Hubs

  • Connected Energy

  • Trusted Renewables Ltd
