Using poetry, mythology and hagiography this talk will illustrate both the role of the poet in early Irish, Scottish, and Welsh societies, and the uses of Celtic poetry in religion, politics, and culture into contemporary times.
Robin Herne is the Religious Studies & Ethics course leader at the University of Suffolk as well as an author, published poet, newspaper columnist in the East Anglian Daily Times, and professional storyteller.
