In addition to this we understand that personal circumstances may change during your time at university. If this happens you can approach Student Services to discuss how a recent diagnosis may be affecting your studies. We work with each individual to discuss, advise and identify the best support package to help people succeed in their studies.

Around half of students regularly drink more than is recommended by government and many feel pressured by peers to drink more than they originally planned. You should be aware of the risks of drinking alcohol so that you can make an informed decision about how much you drink.
- Make sure you eat before or while drinking alcohol
- Have at least 2 days per week when you don't drink any alcohol
- Think about plans for the next day
- Set a budget or drinks limit
- Alternate alcoholic drinks with soft drinks
- Beware of others buying you drinks - it can be easy to lose track of how much you have had
