I don’t know about you, but I’m really looking forward to the summer. I’m going back home to Brighton, so I’m a bit jealous looking at all these events that will be happening! If you live in Suffolk or are just staying for the summer, here’s some of the events that you’ll be able to enjoy before returning to uni in September.
Latitude is the annual music festival in Southwold between the 18-21 July It’ll be in it’s 13th year this year, so it’s really something to enjoy. George Ezra, Lana del Rey, and Chvrches will all be performing this year, and there’ll be a range of alterntaive entertainment for you to enjoy.
The Suffolk Show is being held between the 29-30 May just outside of Ipswich, so it’s really easy to get to! There’ll be plenty of music, rides, shows, food and drinks for you to enjoy, and it’s a great day out for all the family.
Music in the Park
This really is one for students because it’s free! On the 7 July, Music in the Park takes place at Christchurch Park for one day only. With six stages of entertainment, fairground rides, street food and a marketplace, it’s an event that you really can’t miss. If we get weather like last year, it’ll make it all the more worth it!
Outdoor cinemas are getting really popular! Lots of places around Suffolk will have them this year, including around Ipswich, Newmarket and Stowmarket. Take a look on Eventbrite to see where the one closest to you will be. So far, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Greatest Showman and Mary Poppins Returns are the ones I would love to see!
