We all love getting a good photo on Instagram and we’re really lucky in Suffolk with all the great photo spots we have. Here’s some places you could visit to get some good snaps.

Ipswich Waterfront

Just step out of the uni door on a sunny day, and you’ve got yourself the perfect photo. With the sun and the boats, this is one of the most popular spots in Ipswich. It’s even better with the sunset or when there’s a full moon.

Framlingham Castle

The hometown of Ed Sheeran and theme of the song “Castle on the Hill”, Framlingham Castle is a great Instagram spot. With a sunset in the background, you won’t have to apply any filters!

Orford

Orford is known as the most beautiful village in Suffolk with picturesque houses and a village church. The lighthouse by the beach will also offer a great photo spot.

St Edmundsbury Cathedral

Combine this with a trip to the town of Bury St Edmunds to visit the local sites. At Christmas, you will be able to visit the Christmas market and see the town lights, although the cathedral is beautiful at any time of the year.

Christchurch Park

As we enter the spring and summer months, Christchurch Park becomes very popular as it springs into life. Take photos of the pond, gardens and wildlife. At the same time, it’s the perfect place to take the kids!

Southwold Pier

Southwold Pier is an Edwardian pier and is a great chance to enjoy the sea views, British seaside, shopping and much more. Take a trip with your friends or family, and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Pin Mill

Pin Mill is a small village on the Shotley peninsula. The bank on the River Orwell has lots of old ships and a small pub nearby, so it’s perfect for an afternoon out. The views give you the perfect opportunity for a few photos.
