We will require a photo from you in order to produce your student ID card. Not only will your ID card prove you are a University of Suffolk student, it will also allow you access to all facilities, including the library. The main campus at Ipswich has swipe card access via your ID card to all buildings and floors. The Waterfront building is open to students 24/7, however you will be required to show Security staff your ID card to gain access out of normal business hours.
You can upload your photo within the My Application section. You will see a link titled ‘Click here to upload your photo’.
The photo must meet certain criteria in order for your card to be produced. Most importantly it must be similar to a passport style photograph. There must be no other person or object in the photo. Further criteria can be found when you upload your photo. If your photo does not meet these guidelines, it might be refused which will cause a delay in you receiving your ID card at Induction.
Once you have selected an appropriate photo from your computer please save it into a JPEG format and submit it, following the on screen instructions. The system will tell you if your photo has been successfully uploaded. You will receive an email back only if there is a problem with your photograph.
If you experience problems uploading a photo, don't panic. If you are unable to upload a photo you can email one in JPEG format to email@example.com with your full name and date of birth. If you do not have the facility to upload a photo, you can have a photograph taken in the Infozone free of charge, however we recommend you submit a photo prior to Induction as a delay in receiving your ID card could mean you have limited access to our facilities. Please ensure you check your email after the upload and take any necessary action.
Please note any photograph provided to your accommodation provider does not get passed to University of Suffolk.
