The University is run with an Executive which is chaired by the Vice-Chancellor and consists of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and Secretary, Director of Human Resources, Director of Finance & Planning, and two Deans of Schools (nominated by the Vice-Chancellor). In addition, the University Management Team includes the Directors/Heads of Professional Services and the Dean of each School.
The operation of the University is overseen by the Board chaired by an Independent Director, to whom the Vice-Chancellor is accountable. The membership of the Board includes senior executives from Ipswich Borough Council and Suffolk County Council, and the Principal of Suffolk New College. There are also independent members of the Board from the local community and beyond, as well as two academic members of staff and the President of the Students' Union.
