How I decorated my uni room

When you first walk into your uni room, it can look a bit boring until you’ve put up some decoration. It doesn’t have to be expensive either; I just brought some things up that I had in my room at home.

Here’s how I decorated my uni room.

Photos

It was my sister’s wedding last year and I found that photos from this on my walls made the room so much brighter with lots of happy memories. I also put up some photos of my holidays and polaroids strung across the room to add a more homely feel to the room.

Cosy add on’s

When I moved to uni, I got new bedding, blankets and cushions to add a more cosy feel to the room. It makes for a comfy bed to read a book, watch a film or sit with my friends. I also got myself a cheap storage seat which not only gives me extra space to put things, but also gives my friends an actual place to sit when they come over.

Lights

Fairy lights make a massive difference to a room and are great for winter evenings when it gets dark so early. I also found an amazing touch light on Amazon. It’s really relaxing to stick a film on after a long day under the fairy lights to unwind.

A bit of life

I’m not great at keeping plants, but they do add a bit of life to my room. At the moment, I’m trying to keep a bonsai tree going and the deep green leaves really add a good finishing touch to the room.

Reed diffusers

I love getting a new reed diffuser in my room. As I have such a small space, it keeps it smelling fresh and lasts for quite a while.
