The Hold

What is THE HOLD?

In partnership with the Suffolk County Council the University of Suffolk have developed the Hold – a new, purpose built research centre for our Waterfront Campus.

The treasures of the Suffolk Archive will be moving to the Hold for Spring 2020 and our students will have direct access to primary source material.

We already have a network of staff, students, volunteers and friends who are making the vision a reality, as a student of Suffolk you have a unique opportunity to work with research material on-site as an undergraduate as well as postgraduate.

‘OPPORTUNITIES’

Our partnership with The Hold enables students to apply their knowledge in practice.

The Centre offers bespoke partnerships aligned to our History provision to develop and enhance your research skills.

In addition, we offer various opportunities for all students across a broad range of discipline areas which are designed in partnership with the Suffolk Archive to enhance and develop your working knowledge whilst you study.

Our activities are shaped around you and your schedule for maximum benefit and include work shadowing, student placements and volunteering.
