The University of Suffolk Student Recruitment and Outreach team run a variety of events throughout the year. These events are free to attend, but booking is essential. To register your interest about any of the below events please email us and we will update you as further details become available.


Suffolk UCAS Higher Education Exhibition: 11 June 2020

Year group: 12 (or equivalent)

The University of Suffolk hosts the Suffolk UCAS Higher Education Exhibition on an annual basis. These exhibitions play a vital part in helping applicants decide what and where to study in higher education.

Open Events

University of Suffolk Open Events run throughout the year and are a great opportunity to find out more about the courses available, and to view the academic, social and accommodation facilities. All open events have academics and support staff available for one-to-one discussion, and some also include specific subjects talks.  A programme of talks on topics such as Student Life, Student Finance and Personal Statements is also available.


Subject Taster Sessions

University of Suffolk runs academic taster sessions in a variety of subjects and is happy to arrange tasters in other subjects upon request.  Please email us to arrange.

This event is for students who have recently enrolled on an Access to Higher Education course.  Delegates will explore subjects offered at Suffolk, learn about student life, tour the campus and facilities, and receive application advice.  Booking is essential and places can be reserved via the above link.


English and History Twilight Event: 9th October 2019

Are you thinking about studying English or History at degree level? Want to know more about what how it is different to what you are already studying and what you can do with a English or History degree after graduating?  This two hour session gives year 12 and 13 students the opportunity to meet academics and current students, and to take part in taster session.


Family Awareness Day: 16 November 2019

Year 7, 8 and 9 students and their parents/guardians are invited along to our Ipswich campus to find out more about studying a degree at university.

This is a free event and a fantastic opportunity to learn more about university and to meet with current University of Suffolk students.


Computing, Web and Games Taster 13 May 2020 and 3 July 2020


Health and Social Care Conference: 24 June 2020

This conference is specifically designed for Year 12 students who are interested in a studying a health and social care-related degree before progressing to a career within the sector. Attendees benefit from a personalised programme that is tailored to their own preferences and are able to engage with academics and current undergraduate student ambassadors throughout the day.  Booking will open later in the year, but please contact Student Recruitment and Outreach team to express interest.
