If you have previously studied at higher education level before you may be able to transfer credits to a related course at the University of Suffolk and reduce the period of study time necessary to achieve your degree.
As a University we recognise that learning may take place in a wide variety of contexts including formal taught study, self-directed study and professional or life experience. Under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy, individuals are given the opportunity to transfer credits achieved elsewhere to study at the University of Suffolk.
To be considered for RPL, individuals should submit an application as normal indicating on their application form that they wish to enter in Year 2/3 of their chosen programme or transfer credits. Once the application is received additional information will be requested by the Admissions Team, usually in the form of a transcript and references and completion of the Application for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Once these documents are received the application will be considered as normal by the relevant Admissions Tutor and a decision processed accordingly.
