Return to Learning

When it comes to learning, we believe this should be continual and lifelong. At the University of Suffolk we encourage all our students to always be a work in progress and inspire the confidence and ability to adapt to changes throughout life.

We can give you skills and knowledge to ‘be a pro’ – in whatever sense you would like. That could be to become a professional in a new industry, develop your passion for a subject and craft your expertise, or gain high level knowledge to advance your career and open up new opportunities.

Students who will be 21 years old or over at the start of their course are defined as ‘mature students’. These students play a huge part in the UK’s Higher Education Sector and at the University of Suffolk over 60% of our total student population are aged 21 or over. We are proud of the diversity across the University and many students compliment that they feel welcome here regardless of their age or ability and value the mix of backgrounds and perspectives shared.

We understand that applying and starting university can be a very exciting yet daunting time which is why we aim to do our best to support you throughout the application process and during your time as a student.
