Alita Battle Angel Review *Gifted*

*Gifted review*

I was so lucky last week to be offered two tickets by Empire Cinemas to the first night showing of Alita Battle Angel. This adapted version of the famous manga animation is already a hit in cinemas across the UK. The film is about a female cyborg who wakes up 300 years after the fall of humanity where only one city has survived. Unable to remember anything about her past life, she goes out to find out who she really is with the help of the doctor who found her and her street friend. However, everyone has secrets, and she quickly learns that she can’t trust anyone. Her memories are triggered by dangerous situations she finds herself in, but it is only when the deadly forces of the city come against her that she finds her unique gift; her superhuman strength. This gives her a key to her past, but also a new world of danger as she struggles to protect those closest to her.

Although at times the storyline was a bit difficult to follow, Alita Battle Angel is action packed and a must watch for anyone who likes a film with a twist. Even if the film isn’t for you, the cinema will be. We watched the film in Empire’s very own D-Box, so the film came alive with moving chairs and 3D viewing. We were even able to get super comfy with recliner seats, so we enjoyed the film to the max.

Thank you once again Empire for another great evening out. I really enjoyed it.
